Bingin Beach is what you’ve always imagined of Bali, Indonesia. It’s a sunbather’s paradise. Hidden below the cliffs like a pearl, azure perfect waves, a tropical reef and a small white sand beach – a true slice of paradise on earth with the inherent feel of adventure, the warm taste of the ocean breeze, and a pinch of magic spilling below the colors of the sunset. It is quite simply, breathtaking.

Numerous surf breaks from beginner to expert are located steps across the sand just a short paddle from Legends.

Bingin

Bingin is best known for its short, sharp, and shallow pipeline-like reef break left at lower tides. Higher tides and deeper water bring a less serious and more social vibe to Bingin’s wave. From Beginner to intermediate, shortboard to longboard, everyone can enjoy both lefts and rights at the peak.

Impossibles

Impossibles is a 10 minute paddle from Legends where intermediate to advanced surfers are often rewarded with ultra long fast lefts. Although it’s name implies a wave that is impossible to surf, it’s the favorite wave of many people and often one of the few waves that can be surfed nearby when the mega swells roll in with up to 25 foot faces.

Megatron

Megatron’s is a short paddle just in front of Legends at the edge of the reef. Named after “Mega,” one of Bingin’s Legendary local surf pros it’s a very shallow and deceptively powerful left that test’s only the faint of heart expert surfer.

Dreamland and Padang Padang

Dreamland and Padang Padang are a 20 minute walk along the beach (in opposite directions) at low tide, and help broaden the selection of fun waves for everyone. Dreamland is a beautiful beach with mostly sand bottom offering beginner to intermediate waves. Little Padang is a fun beginner to intermediate wave and Big Padang in front of the rock offers some of the best left barrels on earth for expert surfers only.

Uluwatu

Uluwatu, one of the worlds most famous waves, is located only a few kilometers away and can be seen in the distance from your room at Legends. It’s the last rock you’ll see and lies on the Southern most tip of Bali. It’s, about 10 minutes by motorbike or car.

Balangan

Only a 10 minute motorbike ride from Bingin, Balangan offers everything from beginner to advanced surf. The quaint Indonesian Warungs that line the shore are a great place to have a local style meal and relax for the day. Several more upscale resorts can also be found here.

Surf Dry Season (April – October)

Dry Season in the “Bukit” (The peninsula area south of the airport where Legends is located) enjoys offshore trade winds and excellent consistent surf.

Surf Rainy Season (November – March)

Although the rainy season brings mostly onshore winds to Bingin and other breaks on the west side of The Bukit, don’t let that fool you as perfect glassy days with less crowds are not uncommon. The great thing is that when it’s onshore in these areas, the East side of The Bukit, only a 20 minute motorbike ride, enjoys offshore winds. These surf spots include: Nyang Nyang, Green Bowl, Pandawa, Nusa Dua, Sanur, and others.

Attractions

The area offers various attractions closeby from temples, to golf, shopping, dayclubs and nightlife.

Located only a few minutes from Legends is the world class 85 hectare New Kuta Golf Course, the first Links stye layout in Indonesia. With 5 sets of tees it accommodates all skill levels. This 18 hole and 72 par course is designed by Ronald Fream, David Dale & Kevin Ramsey (USA).
